Founded by Tara Nelson, a licensed hairstylist with 19 years of industry experience and advanced training in medical aesthetics, Amethyst blends clinical expertise with elevated self-care. Tara has spent the last four years practicing in a medical spa setting alongside Dr. Natalia Luraguiz, MD, bringing a uniquely informed and holistic approach to hair, scalp, and skin health. Amethyst is proud to offer the first Clinical Head Spa in Northwest Louisiana, specializing in scalp health, relaxation, and hair growth support through medical-grade techniques and products—alongside personalized salon and aesthetic services. Every appointment is intentionally designed to be both effective and restorative. Guests enjoy a refined experience that includes complimentary valet parking and a complimentary champagne, cocktail, or non-alcoholic beverage during their visit. Cancellation Policy
We kindly ask that all appointment changes be made with respect to our time and availability.
• Cancellations or reschedules must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee.
• Same-day cancellations or appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged 50% of the scheduled service price.
• No-call / no-show appointments will be charged 100% of the scheduled service price.
All cancellation and no-show fees will be automatically charged to the card on file.
Please note that repeated last-minute cancellations or no-shows may result in restricted booking privileges or require prepayment for future appointments.
